Under the patronage of Professor Dr Nasif Jasem Mohammed, Dean of the College of Education / Al-Qaim, the Human Rights Unit held a seminar on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, entitled “Confronting the Phenomenon of Begging from Religious and Legal Perspectives”, in Dr Hammad Nawaf Farhan Hall, with the attendance of several faculty members, staff, and students.

The phenomenon of begging is one of the pressing social issues that troubles many societies and requires a comprehensive approach from both religious and legal angles. It is essential to provide genuine and legitimate support to those in need through means and to empower individuals by offering opportunities for education and employment instead of resorting to begging. contributes to the overall development of society.
